MSO - MARITIME SECURITY OFFICER

Privately Contracted Armed Security Personnel (PCASP) are utilised by Private Maritime Security Companies (PMSC) for the purpose of protecting commercial vessels transitingthrough the High Risk Areas (HRA). The guards need to possess solid armed security skills together with marine environment skills relevant to the uniqueness of their role.

RECRUTING MSO

We will recruit for your company security operators/specialists according to your requirements and needs. The recruiting process is conducted by FIRST SEVEN professional recruiting team, which consists of HR Manager, Training Manager, and Psychologist. The recruiting process will comply with the international standards and your quality system and will include shortlisting criteria, FIRST SEVEN interview, vetting, psychological test, selection and client’s interview. The recruiting process will be logged and documented.

COMPETENCY TESTS

FIRST SEVEN offers its clients a unique service tailored around their specific HR needs and criteria.
The Competency Test is designed according to the client’s requirement and evolves around a series of key areas:

1. Weapon and other relevant equipment handling
2. Company’s SOPs.
3. Communication (Level of English and ability to interact with other team members and crew).
4. Physical fitness.

WEAPON TRAINING/FIREARM

1. CLOSE PROTECTION OFFICER FIREARM

The content of our Close Protection Officer Firearms course has been designed, incorporating our instructors’ extensive experience. The course contains no theoretical classroom work. All training is practical and will be conducted on a shooting range. You will be on the range all day, every day. The live fire shoots are realistic and fast paced. At the end of the course, we guarantee that you will be a more competent and confident armed close protection office.

COURSE INFORMATION

Course duration is 5 days. It consists of different training blocks to get the participant to a high level of weapon competency, skill, speed, accuracy, and safety, whilst operating alone or in a small team in crowded/enclosed places. The course has been designed to fill several training gaps that we have identified within the training industry and concentrates almost entirely on armed Close Quarter Combat (CQC) in enclosed places. The course is conducted at a range complex in Zagreb.

PARTICIPANTS

All Close/Executive Protection Officers who already have experience with firearms and are licensed to carry a firearm in the line of duty.

Fundamentals of firearm safety

Fundamentals of speed and accuracy in tactical shooting

Static shooting (with principal)

Shooting from behind cover techniques

CQC shooting techniques

1 and 2 man extraction (with principal)

2. MARITIME SECURITY OFFICER FIREARM

The content of our Maritime Security Officer Firearms course has been designed, incorporating our instructors’ extensive experience. The course contains no theoretical classroom work. All training is practical and will be conducted on a shooting range. You will be on the range all day, every day. Fundamental review and refresher, ready positions, reloads and malfuctions, multiple shots, multiple targets, alternate shooting positions, ground fighting positions, standing up and walking hand manipulations, long range engagements, concealed use, defensive and index shooting, daily and low light techniques. At the end of the course, we guarantee that you will be a more competent and confident armed Maritime Security Officer.

COURSE INFORMATION

The duration of the course is 1 to 2 days. It consists of various training blocks to bring the participant to a high level of weapon ability, skill, speed, accuracy and safety while acting alone or in a small team. The course is designed to fill several training gaps that we have identified during training in the maritime industry and fully concentrates on safe handling of different types of rifles, hitting targets in uncontrolled conditions, eliminating obstruction. The course is conducted at a range complex in Zagreb.
